Chris Kline, Director of Butterfly Ridge Butterfly Conservation Center and President of The Polygonia Foundation will help us understand native plant seed collection and processing techniques. 

Chris will show us how to determine when seeds of different native plant species are ripe and ready to collect.  After collecting seeds outdoors, we'll have shelter available for demonstrations on how to prepare and store seed for  optimal germination. 

Gloves, long pants, and long sleeves are recommended.  This is a hands-on experience!

Please bring your own paper bags (lunch back size) for seed collection.
